About
Dancepiration dance studio opened in 2010 with the goal of offering dance classes to dancers of all ages and ability levels. Since 2010 it has quickly grown to include a Special Needs Dance Program, National Award Winning Competition Team, Year Round Dance Company, and a place to host in-house master classes and events taught by guest artists from all over the country including So You Think You Can Dance Winner Lauren Froderman.
We work hard to help each individual dancer achieve the goals that they set for themselves. Our instructors understand that each dancer is different therefore classes are planned based on class participants not as a general curriculum.
Our dancers are constantly raising the bar allowing us to begin teaching higher skill sets at younger ages.
Dancepiration likes to get involved with community events whenever we can. Our company has performed at many events throughout the Chicagoland area including Navy Pier, McHenry County Fair, Six Flags, Windy City Bulls games, UIC Men's Basketball games, I Am Chicago Unite, nursing homes, and many more. We also try to help other local organizations when we can by doing hat and food drives, fundraisers, and performing at fundraising events.
At Dancepiration students learn so much more than proper dance technique. Not only do they learn a deep love for the art of dance, they also learn to not take their abilities for granted and to be thankful everyday. They learn that respect is a two way contract and if they respect their teachers, their parents, and their peers that they will be shown the same respect. They learn that hard work and dedication always pay off. They learn that sometimes mistakes happen, not only in dance but also in life. It's how we move past them that shows our true character. Most importantly, our dancers learn to lead with LOVE and KINDNESS.
